Mark Segbers signed with 901 FC on Jan. 14, 2020. The St. Louis, MO defender brings three years of USL Championship experience to Memphis.

The ninth overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution, Segbers was loaned out to Orange County SC. The defender made his professional debut in Orange County SC’s opener on March 18, 2018. Less than three weeks later he scored his first two goals on April 8, 2018, against LA Galaxy II. At the end of the 2018 season, Segbers joined Swope Park Rangers. Between the two USL squads, he appeared in 51 career matches prior to 2020.

Last season, Segbers quickly became an integral part of 901 FC's backline starting in 10 of 15 matches with 823 minutes played.  Throughout 2020 he  tallied two assists on 23 crosses and scored one goal on two shots.  

Before he turned pro, Segbers was a four-year starter for the University of Wisconsin (2014-17). He was named to the All-Big 10 Second Team as both a sophomore and a senior. With 77 appearances and 72 starts, Segbers scored 16 goals and collected 22 assists with the Badgers.
