Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC midfielder Aaron Molloy was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 4 of the 2023 regular season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Molloy is the first Team of the Week honoree for the club this season after setting the pace on the way to the first point of the season in a 1-1 draw at Miami over the weekend. The midfielder created four chances in the match while completing 80 of 86 passes, including eight of nine long passes. Defensively, Molloy made five interceptions and nine recoveries.
The 2022 All-League First Teamer and MVP Finalist led the club with nine Team of the Week appearances a season ago, setting a single-season club record with 10 assists to go with eight goals and 72 chances created. Molloy leads the team with nine chances created through three matches this season.
Memphis 901 FC travels to face One Knoxville SC in the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, April 4 at 6 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the in-state derby on YouTube.
