Continued Form
Continued Form
Memphis scored a total of four goals over the past three weeks on the road. That’s two more than the club scored in its first two matches at home. The amount of chances has only increased as the attacking group has found a rhythm. Despite scoring just one goal in its last match against North Carolina FC, Memphis’ group created seven chances. Memphis has averaged eight chances created per match since it last played at AutoZone Park. Will Memphis showcase its recent form Wednesday night?

Fighting for a Spot
Fighting for a Spot
Memphis has faced a number of top teams so far this season including playoff contenders Tampa Bay, North Carolina and Bethlehem Steel. Atlanta is fighting for a playoff spot and looks to be in much better form than that club was last year. Both Atlanta and Memphis are fighting for a Top 10 spot in the East with Memphis sitting in 11th (one spot out) and Atlanta in 12th. Wednesday night’s match could be pretty fluid with two teams boasting scoring talent. Memphis was bolstered by the return of forward Elliot Collier last week, in addition to Rashawn Dally and Duane Muckette and Adam Najem. All four players have been involved in goals early in the season. Atlanta will bring in 2017 Golden Boot contender Romario Williams, who is on loan from Atlanta United (MLS) and leads the team with three goals.
