In the month of April, Memphis 901 FC added a few new pieces to the growing foundation of the club.
Memphis’ most recent addition came right on time as the club looks to bolster its attacking options as the first quarter of the season wraps up.
Forward Jochen Graf comes from an impressive USL Championship background already, having scored 12 goals over the past five years in the league. After joining Memphis from the New York Cosmos two weeks ago, Graf has seen extensive playing time.
We caught up with Memphis’ new forward in this week’s edition of Off the Record.
901 FC: Tell us, how has Memphis been and how have the fans helped welcome you to the Bluff City?
Graf: Memphis has been terrific. Since my first day the city has showed me how much the team means and that they are behind us 100%. The food and the music have been out of this world and the people are so welcoming.
901 FC: What is one thing people should know about your game?
Graf: One thing that the fans in Memphis should know about my game … that I give my everything each time the whistle blows. All I want to do is represent my family, myself, and them well. My hope is they can see that in the way I play.
901 FC: What is one thing you hope to accomplish?
Graf: My ultimate goal for us is to put a team on the field that excites our fans and produces results. And we won’t stop working until we give all of the fans and the people in this club just that.
