After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Guitar was selected in the third round of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by Chicago Fire.
“Mitch is a player we identified during his college career as having the qualities necessary to succeed at this level,” Tim Howard Memphis 901 FC Sporting Director said. “He has a relentless engine in midfield and makes the players around him better.”
Guitar becomes the second Wisconsin alum on Memphis’s roster as he joins fellow badger Mark Segbers.
