MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC is pleased to announce that Pride Night will be held on June 26 for the match against Sporting Kansas City II. The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at AutoZone Park with festivities to precede and follow. After hosting the first Pride Night sponsored by a professional sports team in the city in 2019, Memphis 901 FC’s 2021 Pride Night is meant to benefit and empower the LGBTQ+ community in Memphis and beyond.
Memphis 901 FC will team up with a number of local organizations including the University of Memphis Pride & Equity Alliance, Bluff City Sports, Focus Magazine, Tennessee Equality Project, OUTMemphis and Pride Sports Memphis.
Pre-match activities include a party at Atomic Rose starting at 4 p.m. and featuring $4 wells. A march to the stadium is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. At the match, the club will have unique pride merchandise including scarves and shirts. A portion of proceeds from merchandise sales will benefit the organizations previously mentioned.
At the match, Paula Raiford of Paula & Raiford’s Disco will be smashing the guitar and hosting Paula Raiford’s Party Deck in AutoZone Park for the match. With only 200 tickets available at $75 each, Raiford will create a mobile version of her Disco and admission to the space features all-inclusive food, beer, wine and liquor. Finally, Paula & Raiford’s Disco will host a post-match party and will open early to Memphis 901 FC fans.
