Memphis, Tenn – Memphis 901 FC midfielder Aaron Molloy was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for week 22.
Molloy guided Memphis to a six-point week with victories against the Red Bulls II and Harford Athletic, recording one goal, two assists and 10 chances created while completing 101 of 120 passes, winning 17 of 21 duels and making seven interceptions and 21 recoveries on Saturday night.
“Aaron is a top player in this league,” Head Coach Ben Pirmann said. “It’s always good for players to be honored with awards as it shows the improvements and successes of the team.”
Molloy currently leads the USL with eight assists and tied for sixth with 46 chances created.
Fellow midfielder Jeremy Kelly was tabbed as a Team of the Week honorable mention after scoring his fifth goal of the season in a 2-1 victory over Hartford Athletic. Kelly is tied for second in the league with seven assists in 21 appearances.
Memphis 901 FC will travel to face Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on Saturday, August 13 at 6 p.m. CT.
