MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC midfielder Aaron Molloy has been nominated for USL Championship Player of the Month for the month of August, the league announced on Thursday.
Award voting will be conducted following three voting bodies including fans, the USL Technical Committee and the USL National Media Panel. Fans can cast their votes now on the league website.
The Dublin, Ireland native recorded four assists and two goals, including a two-assist performance in a 2-0 victory over New Mexico United, in a four-game win streak during the month of August.
Molloy has led 901 FC through a historic regular season and leads the league with 10 assists while notching six goals in 27 appearances, helping the club clinch a its second consecutive appearance in the USL Championship Playoffs with six matches remaining in the regular season.
Memphis 901 FC returns to AutoZone Park for a Friday night fight with Charleston Battery on September 16 at 7 p.m. CT.
