MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC midfielder Leston Paul has been named to the Trinidad & Tobago national team for the King’s Cup invitational tournament, the club announced on Thursday.
Paul will join the squad for the upcoming King’s Cup in Chiang Mai province, Thailand from September 22-25. The midfielder most recently represented Trinidad and Tobago in the 2022 CONCACAF Nations League in June of this year and has made 25 appearances for his country since his debut in 2014.
The 901 FC captain has appeared in 23 matches this season, tallying five assists with an 82% passing percentage in his fourth year in Memphis as the club marches to its most successful season in its history.
Trinidad and Tobago will face Tajikistan in the opening round of the tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 20, with the winner set to face the winner between Thailand and Malaysia in the Final on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Paul will be available for selection as Memphis 901 FC hosts Charleston Battery this Friday at AutoZone Park at 7 p.m. CT.
