Memphis, Tenn – Memphis 901 FC defender was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 29, the league announced Tuesday.
The defender made his second Team of the Week appearance this season after his stoppage time winner to lift 901 FC over Louisville City FC on Friday to move the club withing two points of the top spot in the Eastern Conference and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
“I’m very proud of Graham and the team for a great performance last match,” Head Coach Ben Pirmann said. “As we continue to improve as a team and club, more and more players will earn honors.”
Smith has made 28 appearances for Memphis this season, scoring four goals and recording 16 clearances and 24 interceptions with 79% passing accuracy from the center back position.
The hunt for the top spot in the conference continues as Memphis 901 FC travels to face Miami FC on Saturday, October 1 at 6 p.m. CT.
