Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC announced Friday the club has signed two local players to academy contracts, pending league and federation approval.
Memphis natives Farid Chouyouti and Nicholas Dyer will join the club and are eligible for USL Championship Competition immediately. As academy signings, they’ll maintain their eligibility while being able to work and train with an experienced group of players.
Forward Farid Chouyouti plays with Germantown Legends and was named to the Commercial Appeal All-Metro high school boys team after scoring 23 goals and nine assists during his junior season at Germantown High School.
Defender Nicholas Dyer also plays for Germantown Legends and Luasanne Collegiate School. Dyer was previously selected to join Nashville SC as part of the MLS Academy program for the 2022 season.
Memphis 901 FC opens the 2023 season on March 11 against Loudoun United at AutoZone Park with kickoff set for 4 p.m. CT. Tickets are available on the club website with corner seats as low as $5 to celebrate the club’s fifth season.
