Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC announced on Friday a special ticket program for the club’s May 13 home match, with $5 from select single match tickets going toward relief efforts for the Wynne High School soccer program.
The Wynne community was devastated by an EF-3 tornado on March 31 that caused severe damage to the high school and athletic facilities.
Fans can use the promotional code ‘WYNNE’ when purchasing tickets to next Saturday’s match and $5 from every single match ticket sold will go towards the Wynne High School boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. Along with the ticket proceeds, 901 FC will donate training gear to the Wynne athletic department.
“The pictures, video and stories coming out of Wynne after the tornado were devastating,” 901 FC President Craig Unger said. “It’s so important for the school and the students for life to return to normal, we wanted to help restore the program. Not just get them back to where they were but giving them the resources to push forward.”
Members of the soccer teams, coaching staff and athletic department will also be recognized at halftime on May 13.
“We are grateful to Memphis 901 FC for this opportunity and want to thank them for giving our students such a special experience,” Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Moore said. “This is something our soccer program will never forget.”
Memphis hosts Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at AutoZone Park FC on Saturday, May 13 at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can purchase tickets at the club’s website.
