Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC will celebrate the mid-south LGBTQ+ community in the club’s annual Pride Night on Saturday, June 17 at AutoZone Park as the club hosts Detroit City FC.
The club will host pre-match Pride festivities on the AutoZone Park Plaza before Kayla Ren Gore, Co-Founder of LGBTQ+ services and advocacy group My Sistah’s House kicks things off with the ceremonial pregame guitar smash. Mid-South Pride President Vanessa Rodley will serve as an honorary captain for the match.
“We’re really excited for our community to be able to experience this Pride Night,” Rodley said. “It’s great to see the club in our city promote the importance of inclusion and diversity in our community.”
Fans can purchase specialty sideline tickets to Saturday’s match and receive a 901 FC Pride T-Shirt. A portion of specialty ticket sales will go toward a donation to Mid-South Pride.
The Saturday matchup set for 7:30 p.m. CT kicks off a three-match homestand for 901 FC with home matches on Wednesday, June 21 and Saturday, June 24.
