MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Beginning with tonight’s match against Atlanta United 2, La Jefa 99.3 FM WGUE will be the official Spanish radio broadcaster of Memphis 901 FC matches.
La Jefa, which is also the market’s ESPN Deportes programming home, also airs on 1180 on the AM side of the dial. The station will broadcast all remaining 901 FC matches, home and away.
“Early on, we identified this as a demographic that is extremely passionate about soccer,” 901 FC President Craig Unger said. “We are very excited to engage with live radio broadcasts of our games, and we thank La Jefa for sharing our vision of growing the game in The Bluff City.”
“Is a privilege for Butron Media to generate such an important alliance with Memphis 901 FC,” Ivette Butron, co-owner of Butron Media, said. “We are committed to inform and to bring the best entertainment to our community. We are sure this new alliance between La Jefa 99.3 and Memphis 901 FC will bring great things for all. Through this partnership we are building bridges between the Hispanic community and the rest of the Memphis community.”
