Memphis, Tenn. – The USL Championship announced on Tuesday the league’s Team of the Week for Week 8 of the 2023 regular season, with defender Graham Smith earning his second honor of the season.
Smith returns to the Team of the Week roster with another strong defensive performance against Louisville City FC on Saturday, recording seven clearances and three interceptions while winning seven aerial duels.
The 2022 All-League selection leads the team with 15 shots as a top target on set pieces and serves as the leader of the back line with 37 clearances this season.
Memphis 901 FC will start another three-match week with a road match against Hartford Athletic on Saturday, May 6 before facing rival Birmingham Legion FC in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday. They’ll return to AutoZone Park on May 13 to host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
