Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC trio Laurent Kissiedou, Lucas Turci and Akeem Ward landed on the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 31 after the club defeated El Paso Locomotive FC 4-0 on Saturday night at AutoZone Park.
Kissiedou put together one of his best performances of the season with a goal and an assist while completing 23 of 27 passes to help Memphis rout El Paso on Saturday. The winger has tallied five goals and three assists in 26 appearances this season.
Turci earned his first Team of the Week appearance after scoring his second goal of the season on Saturday. Turci led the team with 66 total passes to go with four clearances and two interceptions in Saturday’s match. The Brazilian defender has been a bright spot on the back line in the second half of the season
Ward landed on the honorable mention list after kicking off the scoring on Saturday with a right footed strike as well as two tackles and five clearances. Ward has played in every match for 901 FC this season and leads the team with 46 tackles won.
Undefeated in the last four of their last five matches, Memphis 901 FC enters the final match of the regular season looking toward the playoffs with momentum. 901 FC finishes the regular season on the road at New Mexico United on Friday, October 13 at 8 p.m. CT.
