Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC midfielder Aaron Molloy has been named to the 2023 USL Championship All-League First Team for the second consecutive season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Molloy finished his second season in Memphis with a club-leading nine assists to go with two goals while leading the league with 80 chances created. The Irishman served as on-field captain in 25 of his 38 appearances in 2023.
“The club is delighted for Aaron to be rewarded with All-League selection off the back of a very good 2023 season both individually and for the group collectively,” Assistant Sporting Director Caleb Patterson-Sewell said. “He has been a key pillar in the middle of the field for us since the club brought him in last season and his performance level speaks for itself.”
901 FC signed Molloy following an MVP Finalist season for USL League One club Forward Madison FC and the midfielder quickly established himself as a breakout performer in 2022 earning All-League First Team and USL Championship MVP runner-up. Since signing with 901 FC, Molloy has appeared in 74 matches with 10 goals and 19 assists.
The USL Championship All-League Teams were voted on by club management and a league-wide media panel that included representation from every USL market.
