Memphis, TENN. (March 6, 2024) — Memphis 901 FC on Wednesday announced the club has partnered with international non-profit organization Cancer Kickers Soccer Club as the official front of kit sponsor for the 2024 season.
Third generation Memphian and business owner Chris Clothier established Cancer Kickers in 2016 with a mission to provide comfort, community, and connections to children fighting cancer. The landmark partnership was announced at a private event with season ticket holders at the Medicine Factory building in downtown Memphis on Wednesday night.
“I could not think of a better partner to have on the front of our jersey than Cancer Kickers,” said 901 FC Chief Operating Officer Jay Mims. “They are a truly inspirational story doing very important work to serve our community in an impactful way. The club is beyond excited to collaborate and partner with Chris and his amazing organization to make this happen.”
Cancer Kickers logo will appear on the front of all game-worn jerseys in 2024, including a third alternate jersey to be released this summer. Additionally, 901 FC will enact season-long programs to benefit the cause.
- 10 percent of all 901 FC jersey sale revenue will benefit Cancer Kickers.
- Section 119 at AutoZone Park will now be the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club section for the 2024 regular season and playoffs, with a portion of each single game ticket sold going to Cancer Kickers.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and 901 FC will have numerous ways for fans and supporters to help raise awareness.
- The club will promote a pledge program giving fans and supporters an opportunity to provide a donation pledge for each goal and save during the club’s three matches in the month.
- 901 FC will host a dinner with a silent auction to help benefit and bring additional awareness in September.
“When we met with Jay, it was impossible to miss the commitment and excitement that he and his team have for the city of Memphis and 901 FC,” said Cancer Kickers Founder Chris Clothier. “We truly believe they are going to deliver long-term success for both. However, it was their enthusiasm for the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club’s mission and the positive impact we are having on our teammates and their families that sealed the deal. Their work ethic and belief is infectious and we are very excited to be in partnership with the team.”

Professional Sports Partners (PSP), a sports marketing consultant firm based in Houston, Texas also assisted the club brand its 2024 season jersey with Cancer Kickers.
The Beale Street Boys are back in blue in 2024 with new kits available for purchase on the Memphis 901 FC website and at the team store at AutoZone Park. 901 FC’s new-look kits designed by official apparel sponsor CHARLY features a return to the signature Memphis blue on the primary home kit with navy horizontal stripes, as well as a clean gray-to-white look on the secondary away set.
